How to Watch VCT Pacific Grand Final Busan 2026 in Malaysia Time
Published: 2026-08-29
The VCT Pacific 2026 Stage 2 Grand Final locks in on Sunday, 6 September 2026 at Sajik Indoor Gymnasium in Busan. Malaysian time viewers get a weekend afternoon window this run. No 3 AM alarm needed. Pre-show opens at 3:30 PM MYT with first serve at 4:00 PM MYT (5:00 PM KST).
Paper Rex, the Pacific fan-favourite carrying Malaysian AWPer d4v41 on their roster per Wikipedia's team page, exited overnight on 29 August after VARREL took the Lower Round 2 series 2-1 behind a rookie flex clutch on Sunset overtime. Gen.G also went out. T1 dispatched them 2-0 without dropping a map in the other Lower Round 2 fixture on the same night. That leaves four teams standing at Sajik Arena for the weekend: Nongshim RedForce, Global Esports, T1, and VARREL. They play for a Champions Shanghai seed and the RM 1.06 million (US$250,000) Stage 2 prize pool.

Four Teams Left: Reading the Busan Bracket
Nongshim RedForce walked into the Upper Final undefeated across the entire Playoff bracket. They already have a Champions Shanghai seat locked, no matter what happens on Sunday, thanks to the accumulated championship points cushion built up from Stage 1. Their duelist has posted the top KAST rating of Stage 2 across all Pacific players. Speedy operator.
Global Esports sit one Upper Final win away from their first-ever VCT Grand Final appearance. A Friday upset over Nongshim would lock the region's number-one Champions Shanghai seed for the India-founded organisation. Malaysian fans following the wider Shanghai route can lock in their VP pack early through the REDX Game Valorant Malaysia direct top-up page instead of scrambling in the checkout queue that always thickens in the two hours before a Grand Final broadcast starts across Southeast Asia.
Pacific's remaining lower-bracket survival slot on Friday night is the T1 vs VARREL clash, and both sides know one map slip ends the entire season for a roster that has spent seven months grinding towards this one weekend in Busan. VARREL just knocked out Paper Rex 2-1 riding rookie flex Kohaku's clutch on Sunset overtime, while T1 rolled Gen.G 2-0 without a single map dropped. Winner faces the Upper Final loser at 4:00 PM MYT the next day at Sajik.
Anyone who topped up 22,000 VP during Stage 2 through REDX Game likely already rerolled Night Market this Act. Rerolls happen between Acts, and the current window closes on 16 September per the official Riot game wiki, so any Malaysian player with unspent VP should hold that balance now for the post-Busan skin bundle drops that traditionally follow a Pacific Grand Final weekend within the fortnight.
How to Watch from Malaysia in Three Steps
- Open the official stream at 3:20 PM MYT Sunday. Free 1080p on the VCT Pacific YouTube channel with English cast from the regular Pacific analyst desk, and the stream auto-loads the pre-show intro before the 3:30 PM MYT countdown begins.
- Log in on the VALORANT Esports Hub in a second tab. Sign in with your Riot ID before the match starts, and remember that Watch Reward drops only credit when the Hub tab and the stream tab both link to the same Riot account, with every map watched during the Grand Final broadcast counted toward drop eligibility.
- Top up any last-minute VP first. Grab a 475 VP starter pack or an 11,000 VP mega pack in the 1-3 minute delivery window at REDX Game's Valorant Malaysia page, since Boost, TnG, or DuitNow all clear before kickoff and MYR pricing beats App Store MY on every rung of the pack ladder.
Selangor Red Giants players quietly stream their own watch reactions on personal Twitch accounts most Grand Final Sundays, so a background tab tuned to a Malaysian pro's viewing party gives extra colour beyond the official English broadcast booth in Busan. VLR.gg's live thread also runs in parallel for map-by-map economy stats.
Avoid Ticket Scams and Fake VP Drops
Sajik onsite tickets sold out in eight minutes on the Interpark presale. Every DM promising Grand Final seats for RM 600 resale is a scam. Riot Korea authenticates barcodes at the door with a proper scanner, so a fake pass voids at the entry gate and the deposit money is gone.
The same rule applies online during a Grand Final week. "Free 50 VP with drops" landing pages started appearing this week, and as Riot's own guidance repeats on the official esports site, "we never ask for your account password to credit a drop," a line worth repeating every VCT season for new Malaysian viewers. Real drops arrive in the client under Collection then Skins inside 24 hours. Type valorantesports.com directly. Skip every Google ad for the fortnight around Busan.
On the price ladder itself, 11,000 VP retails at RM 449 through the App Store MY region. The same 11,000 VP runs cheaper on REDX Game's Malaysia checkout page with Boost, TnG, and DuitNow all cleared inside 1-3 minutes. Save the RM difference. It covers a mamak roti canai run for four during the Bo5 intermission.
VCT Pacific Busan 2026: Malaysian Fan Questions
What time does the VCT Pacific Grand Final start in Malaysia?
Pre-show 3:30 PM MYT on Sunday 6 September 2026, first map at 4:00 PM MYT. A five-map Bo5 typically wraps by 9:00 PM MYT if all five maps are played, or closer to 7:30 PM MYT on a clean sweep.
Is Paper Rex still in the Champions Shanghai race?
No. Paper Rex were eliminated in Lower Round 2 on 29 August, losing 2-1 to VARREL. The team exits Pacific Stage 2 but keeps their existing Championship Points from earlier Stages on the season seeding board heading into 2027 planning.
Where can Malaysians watch VCT Pacific Busan legally and free?
YouTube (VCT Pacific official channel), Twitch (valorant_pacific), and the VALORANT Esports Hub all carry the English broadcast with Malaysian-friendly latency and Riot Watch Rewards drops for logged-in accounts. All three feeds are free and geo-open to Malaysia.
How do I top up Valorant VP before the Grand Final in Malaysia?
REDX Game's Valorant Malaysia direct top-up page lists every VP pack from 475 to 11,000 in MYR pricing, with DuitNow, TnG, and Boost checkout plus 1-3 minute delivery straight to your Riot account. Order before Sunday 3:00 PM MYT to be safely funded ahead of the pre-show countdown clock and any last-minute skin bundle drop that lands during the broadcast window itself.
Will there be a KL watch party this weekend?
Community organisers usually pin a Grand Final watch venue in Petaling Jaya or Damansara through their Instagram Story the evening before, so check Saturday 5 September for the pinned mamak or cafe address near your area.
Kelana Jaya to Ipoh: Mamak Grand Final Playbook
Malaysian VCT fans have quietly built one of Pacific's most reliable watch cultures over the last four Stages. In PJ, three cafes along Kelana Jaya usually run the stream on projector by every VCT Grand Final Sunday afternoon. Ipoh's Jalan Pasir Puteh cluster picked up VCT viewing rooms last Stage. Johor Bahru's City Square food-court had a full VCT turnout earlier in Stage 2.
Small courtesy from a mamak regular: order at least one drink per hour if you camp the table until the Bo5 closes at 9 PM MYT. Boleh tahan the stall aunty, boleh tahan you. Memang best when Malaysian etiquette holds through a five-hour Bo5. Everyone leaves happy. The roti aunty starts recognising your Riot ID T-shirt by round two.
Whoever lifts the Sajik trophy on Sunday earns Pacific's top Champions Shanghai seed heading into the 24 September Shanghai opener at Mercedes-Benz Arena. Riot ID logged on the Esports Hub before 3:30 PM MYT unlocks the drops window. Secure any last-minute VP at REDX Game before the weekend queue thickens. Settle in for the biggest Pacific Bo5 of the entire season. Jumpa di kickoff.
