Valorant Night Market: Top Up Other Region from KL, 18 Jun
Published: 2026-06-14
Five days from now, on Thursday 18 June 2026, Valorant's Night Market reopens for a three-week run through 9 July. Six discounted skins per account, lock-in on first reveal, and discount rates that swing between 10% and 49%. The math gets interesting fast for Malaysian players topping up via Valorant Other Region. REDX Game processes that VP load in 1 to 3 minutes, MYR-direct, no foreign card swipe required.
The same week, Patch 12.11 quietly added mycard.playvalorant.com, a profile builder Riot pitches as a way to "find the perfect new addition to your squad based on what matters most to you—rank, roles to fill, or purely vibes." Pair it with a stocked wallet and you walk into Night Market without panic-buying.
Night Market lands 18 June, and Act 3 winds down a week later
Riot has not stamped the date in the client yet, but the three-week cycle has held for the last two Night Markets, so 18 June 2026 to 9 July 2026 is the working window for Malaysian schedulers. Six skins drop per account. The selection locks the moment the card flips. No rerolls.
Two guarantees shape what shows up: at least two of the six cards will be either a knife skin or a Premium Edition gun, and you will never see more than two skins for the same weapon in a single market. Anything already in your inventory gets filtered out. That is why some Malaysian players deliberately leave one or two Reaver Vandals unbought ahead of a Night Market run.
Patch 12.11 was, in Riot's own words, "just a lil guy," the last update before Act 4 rolls in around 23 June. Timing matters here. Night Market straddles the Act 3 to Act 4 hinge, so unused VP from the Premier V26A3 Contender and Invite Division playoffs (20–21 June) carries straight through. Paper Rex's d4v41, the first Malaysian player at VCT, closed out the Pacific Stage 1 bracket and helped seed PRX into Masters London at the Copper Box Arena, where PRX took down LEVIATÁN 2-0 on 12 June. Boleh tahan for a debut split.
What Patch 12.11 actually changed besides My VALORANT Card
The card site is the headline, but it is not the only thing in the patch. On console, Judge spread climbed from 2.25 to 2.5, finally aligning console with PC patch 12.09. Bug fixes hit Viper's Pit edge cases, Sage's Healing Orb interaction with revives, and Miks' M-Pulse cycling. Nothing dramatic. If you main Sage in stacks alongside Selangor Red Giants fan-PUGs, though, the Orb fix is the one to watch.
My VALORANT Card itself sits outside the client. You sign in at mycard.playvalorant.com, pick the stats and tags you want to broadcast (rank, roles, "purely vibes"), and the site spits out a shareable card. Small thing on its surface. It also says something about Riot's roadmap: profile metadata is being externalised so it can plug into discovery surfaces later. Premier matchmaking, agent draft tools, third-party stat sites. Expect more.
"Find the perfect new addition to your squad based on what matters most to you—rank, roles to fill, or purely vibes." — Riot Games, VALORANT Patch Notes 12.11, 9 June 2026.
For Malaysian players the immediate read is this: Act 3 closes in two weeks, Night Market drops a week before Act 4, and a public profile site means more eyes on your card the next time you queue Premier from Petaling Jaya. Top up before the rush. Skip the "saya tak boleh beli" moment when a Premium Edition gun rolls into slot four.
VP cost per Ringgit, App Store route vs the MYR-direct path
Riot prices Valorant Points in USD at the global tier table. Malaysian players have two routes to convert MYR into VP for an Other Region account: pay through the in-game store using an Apple App Store or Google Play card (USD-billed, then converted by Apple/Google plus a 1–3% credit-card FX markup), or use REDX Game for a direct MYR top-up.
Worked example using the Bank Negara Malaysia mid-rate of 4.25 MYR per USD on 13 June 2026, with a typical 3% Malaysian credit-card FX markup baked into the App Store path:
TierUSDApp Store (RM, FX-padded)REDX MYR-direct
475 VP$4.99~RM 21.84MYR-direct via DuitNow/TNG
1,000 VP$9.99~RM 43.73MYR-direct, 1–3 min delivery
2,050 VP$19.99~RM 87.50MYR-direct, 1–3 min delivery
3,650 VP$34.99~RM 153.16MYR-direct, 1–3 min delivery
5,350 VP$49.99~RM 218.81MYR-direct, 1–3 min delivery
11,000 VP$99.99~RM 437.66MYR-direct, 1–3 min delivery
The original data point most Malaysian top-up guides skip: the FX markup is per-charge, not per-VP. Small tiers pay the same percentage hit as big tiers, but the absolute saving on the 11,000 VP tier dwarfs the saving on the 475 VP tier: roughly RM 13 versus roughly 65 sen. For a single 475 VP Night Market reveal the FX difference is negligible. Stockpile 5,350 VP across the full Premium Edition gun and battle pass run, though, and those savings genuinely add up.
One more line on the App Store path: Apple's Malaysia tax invoice rounds awkwardly, and some users have flagged effective FX hits closer to 4–5% during weekend SGD-USD volatility. That risk vanishes on the MYR-direct path. Head to the REDX Game Valorant Other Region page for the live MYR tier list before Night Market opens.
How to top up Valorant Other Region from Malaysia in five steps
- Confirm your Riot region setting. Open Valorant, click the gear icon, scroll to About, and check the "Region" line. For Other Region top-up to land, your Riot ID needs to be on NA, EU, or BR, not Pacific (which is the MYR-direct VALORANT Malaysia route).
- Pick your tier on REDX Game. Tiers map 1:1 to Riot's USD ladder but are priced in MYR. Pick the closest tier to the bundle you actually want.
- Enter your Riot ID and tagline. Format is Name#TAG, the same string that shows above your agent portrait in the lobby. One typo here and the VP lands on someone else's account, so paste, don't type.
- Pay via DuitNow QR, TNG eWallet, Boost, or FPX. REDX Game supports the Malaysian payment stack natively. Memang best for KL players who already keep TNG topped up for Smart Tag.
- VP lands in 1 to 3 minutes (advertised). If nothing shows after five minutes, restart the Valorant client first. Region cache sometimes lags. Then ping support.
FAQ on Night Market, regions, and refund windows
Can I switch my Riot region from Pacific to NA just for Night Market? Yes, but with friction. Riot lets you region-transfer once per year via a support ticket. Most Malaysian players who want both routes simply maintain two accounts: one Pacific for MPL Malaysia ranked ladder, one NA for Other Region pricing on heavily discounted Night Market drops.
Will the Night Market window actually open 18 June? Riot has not officially confirmed yet, so 18 June 2026 to 9 July 2026 is the projected window based on the three-week cycle that has held for the last two markets. The in-client notification is the definitive signal. Top up beforehand. The first three days see the heaviest Pacific traffic.
Do REDX Game top-ups affect the new My VALORANT Card? Direct purchases do not change card stats. Only ranked games and ability data feed mycard.playvalorant.com. But buying a Premium Edition skin from Night Market and slotting it into your loadout does change the "vibes" tab on the public card. Tak perlu tunggu lama: VP lands within minutes, you equip the new skin, you regenerate the card.
What happens if I buy VP on the wrong region? Riot does not refund cross-region VP. REDX Game support can flag a wrong-region top-up within the first five minutes if VP has not yet been claimed, but once it credits a Riot ID it is locked. Triple-check your tagline before submitting.
Is there a Premier match conflict with Night Market week? The V26A3 Contender and Invite Division playoffs run 20–21 June, mid-Night Market window. If you are queuing those from Johor Bahru, schedule your VP top-up at REDX Game the night before. Premier servers spike between 8pm and 11pm Malaysia time and confirmation emails can lag 30 seconds during peak.
How does this compare to the regular Valorant Malaysia store? Pacific account holders pay MYR-direct in-client, and that is the cleanest route for everyday VP. Other Region exists because some event bundles and Premium Edition guns hit NA or EU first by a day or two, and the price-arbitrage on the USD-to-MYR FX path can favour Other Region on bigger tiers when MYR is strong against USD, like the 4.25 mid-rate on 13 June 2026.
